How can I reach the Belalp by car?
From the direction of Bern you can take the Lötschberg car train (Kandersteg-Goppenstein). From the car train exit in the Rhone valley you drive in the direction of Brig/Naters and after that to Blatten bei Naters. The Belalp is a car-free zone, so it’s not possible to park your car in front of our Lodge. It’s best to park your car in Blatten and board the cable car from there. We will take care of the baggage transport on the Belalp.
How is the transport of Luggage from Blatten bei Naters to the hotel organized?
If you would rather not carry your luggage in the cable car, it’s possible to rent a luggage rack for CHF 25.00 (one way) at the Belalp Bahnen (transport company). In the upper cable car station we have a Hamilton Lodge luggage depot. You can safely leave your luggage here and we pick up the luggage at fixed times.

Hamilton Lodge Belalp is situated high in the Alps, at over 2000 meters (6600 ft.). The ski slopes even go on to a height over 3100 meters (10.200 ft.). This allows us to have enough snow both early and late in the season. For low precipitation times, snow cannons are used on the main runs to ensure that the pistes are always open for you.
Can I pay with card?
Almost all businesses today in Belalp accept cashless forms of payment, including our Lodge. Should you wish to have cash, there is an ATM machine in Blatten b. Naters.
