Hamilton Lodge, getting here…..

At 2000m above sea level, Hamilton Lodge is situated in a car-free zone. Vehicle access is not permitted, helping preserve the peaceful environment of the area. 

By Car
Drive directly to Blatten bei Naters. Parking is available in the village. From there, walk to the gondola station.

By Public Transport
Take a train to Brig Train Station (timetables at www.sbb.ch). From Brig, take the PostAuto Bus (B 624) to Blatten b. Naters. It drops you off right next to the gondola station.

Gondola to Belalp

From Blatten b. Naters, take either the big cable car or the small gondola (operational hours can be found at https://www.belalp.ch/en/timetable) up to Belalp. Hamilton Lodge is located next to the small gondola and a 7-minute downhill walk from the big cable car. 

Luggage

To make your arrival as smooth as possible, we offer several convenient options for getting your luggage to Hamilton Lodge.

• Small amount of luggage
  If each guest has one large bag and one small hand-carried item, you can bring your luggage with you in the small gondola. From there, it’s a short walk of about 100 m through the snow to Hamilton Lodge.

   

• Arriving after the small gondola stops
  Take the large cable car with your luggage, then walk about 7 minutes downhill through the snow to the Lodge.

   

• Lots of or heavy luggage
  You can purchase the use of a luggage rack at the gondola lift office (CHF 25).

   

• Leave your luggage at the base station and then go park your car.
• Walk back to the base station, place your luggage in a luggage rack, with a luggage ticket attached that specifies Hamilton Lodge as the destination.
• Belalp Bahnen will bring your luggage to the top with the large cable car and our team will collect it by snow vehicle and deliver it to the Lodge.

   

  Please note: luggage transport times cannot be precisely scheduled, and immediate pickup cannot be guaranteed due to piste and snow-vehicle restrictions. We recommend planning accordingly. You may send your overnight luggage ahead with the cable car and travel up yourself via the small gondola with your ski gear to enjoy a full day on the mountain.

International airports..

Zürich Kloten, then direct train to Brig (2 h 15 min)

Geneva Cointrin,  then direct train to Brig (2 h 40min)

Basel-Mulhouse, then train to Brig (2 h 15 min)

Bern Belp, then train to Brig (1 h 20 min)

Milano Malpensa. From Malpensa either by Malpensa Express to Milano Centrale (1 h 2 min) and then by EC train to Brig (1 h 53 min) , or by bus to Domodossola (1 h 20 min  and then by train to Brig (33 min).

From Brig to Blatten bei Naters you take the yellow post bus (Postauto, nr. 624), which departs rom platform 2 on the square in front of the station.

In Blatten, change to the Belalp Bahnen cable car.

In the winter season you can take the small gondola, which runs continuously from 9 AM to 5 PM. If you arrive after 5 PM or travel during the summer season, please take the big cable car to Bergstation.
